Salt, Sea, Sky
Through researching patient centered care for medical facilities I've learned a lot about the psychology and instinctive cognition we feel when we are in, near, or looking at water. With regards to art this relates to seascapes, lake scenes, rolling rivers, and even dew drops on a leaf. Water meditates us, particularly the beach. We've all felt the seas hypnotic power. Static yet oh so subtly changing. Memorizing us with its sparkle. The tides serve as a reminder of the cycle of life. A symbol for the dependability it offers in its constant presence, yet also its unpredictable nature, so mirrors real life. These words and paintings are my mirrors from time spent living near the pacific ocean.
